Research summarize 1

David C. Terr's opinion:

Technology has good effect on society even trough some people don't think so. Those who think technology is all bad should go live in cave. Beside good effects, new technology breeds unanticipated or unwanted effects. So certain Technologies are designed for good (electricity for example) and some for evil (weapons).

  1. I think the speaker exercise discretion and not make blatant statements such as people who think technology is” all bad” should " Go live in a cave" I understand that this was only a turn of phrase- but I still think it shows intolerance of others. Some people, such as the Mennonites who were close neighbors of mine when I was growing up do not use any technology whatsoever- this includes electricity and vehicles. Many of them work as carpenters in the community - but they request that you hire an outside party to do the wiring in your home.
What he technically says is “they are free to go live in cave" slightly different but still not a good way to get people to put confidence in what you are saying.

  2. David C. Terr also speaks of the “hazards" of nuclear power.

As of 2005, nuclear power provided 6.3% of the world's energy and 15% of the world's electricity, with the U.S., France and Japan. Nuclear power is the primary source of electricity in France. It is the opinion of most experts in the field that the likelihood of another disaster as in the case of Chernobyl is improbable.
There is something a little off about this article to me.
